The Ford Mustang RTR is a dealer-installed package encompassing Ford Racing goods such as Falken FK-452 tyres, high-flow filter and suspension for the 2011 Ford Mustang GT. It also includes RTR emblems, stickers, floor mats and shifter knob and a number of spoilers and 19x9.5-inch rims.
The RTR was designed by Vaughn Gittin Jr. , who also took part in the development of the Ford Mustang RTR-X.
The Ford Mustang RTR appears as a Tier 2 car in Need for Speed: The Run and as a Tier 4 car, known as the "NFS Edition".
The Tier 2 variant requires the player to beat 15 Objectives in the Muscle Car Playlist to be unlocked. For the "NFS Edition", players have to achieve a Gold Medal in all Coastal Rush Challenges.
Both variants feature a "Challenging" handling rating. The Tier 4 variant produces 560 bhp at 6,500 rpm, goes from 0 to 100 in 4.8 seconds and is capable of reaching 190 mph (307 kph).
In comparison with the 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302, the Mustang RTR has a slightly slower 0 to 60 mph time. However, the Mustang RTR has a better handling rating and therefore may exit corners faster than the Boss 302.
The "NFS Edition" lacks the high horsepower number seen from the Tier 4 "Razor" Mustang Boss 302. They both share the same handling rating though.
