Shelby Cobra "Daytona" Coupe

The Shelby Cobra "Daytona" Coupé is a race car built from 1964 to 1965, that was based on the AC Cobra. Within its racing career, the Daytona Coupe earned many victories including the 1964 24 Hours of Le Mans and 24 Hours of Daytona. Only six units of the car were produced, due to the fact, that the Ford GT40 project was launched.

The Daytona Coupe appears in Need for Speed: The Run as a Tier 4 car, as the Tier 4 "NFS Edition" and as the Tier 5 "Carl Signature Edition".
The standard variant can be unlocked upon beating ten Autolog recommendations. The "NFS Edition" requires the player to beat twenty objectives in the Muscle Car Playlist. The Tier 5 variant is unlocked by receiving a bronze medal in every East Coast Express challenge.

The handling of both Tier 4 cars is rated as Challenging, while the handling of the Tier 5 variant is rated as Normal.

The standard variant is one of the quickest Tier 3 cars, as it is capable of a top speed of 180 mph (290 kmh). It also has the best acceleration time, although at the cost of handling.

The "NFS Edition" is also notable for its top speed, but performs averagely in terms of acceleration.

The top speed of the "Carl Signature Edition" may not be on a par with the fastest Tier 5 cars. This trait is compensated by its decent handling and quick acceleration.
